Pam has volunteered to host her cat Charlie as our next Featured Animal Teacher (FAT). I am sure you will enjoy getting to know this wonderful animal teacher.

Gold members will have an opportunity to connect with Charlie along with Val on the next Q&A call Saturday, April 8. I encourage all of you, both silver and gold members, to connect with Charlie now and through the month.

Tune into Charlie first and see what you sense. It’s not just about getting words although that’s a lot of fun when it happens. Remember that telepathic comes from tele meaning over a distance like telephone and television, and pathic that comes from pathos. So literally telepathic is emotion over a distance.
How does Charlie feel to you? Happy? Sad? Excited? etc.

Ask Charlie ice breaker questions as you might with any new teacher. It’s not about “getting the right answer” but about connecting with a wonderful animal.

      Have fun!

Many thanks to Pam for offering to host Charlie as our featured animal teacher for this month. We look forward to Pam and Charlie sharing feedback, information and stories along our journey.

Hi Barb, There is my Charlie! But, Izzy is still pictured on the forum front page to the right. can you remove Izzy from that spot and put in Charlie? Also, I am having serious problems with my e-mail server – I can’t send or receive mail. I wondered if the phone number to call in to Saturdays call is the same as last month? Thanks, Pam

Pam, Pammie, Pammie Jean, Pamela.... you can call me any of these names.

      Hi Pam,
Charlie showed me strong purring, he likes to purr and stretch. He rolled on his back and batted out with his paws at something. Not sure what. Then pouncing on something. He was very visual. Such pretty colors! Just love him!

Thanks Joy, Sorry it took so long to get back with you, my computer has been messed up for sometime. Charlie is really long and he enjoys stretching out. It is so cute to see him lounging on the floor in the sun rays with his belly up. It’s interesting, when I look into his eyes they don’t look normal (in my perception) but oh he has incredible Vision. Please talk to him some more. Ask him to tell you what he hunted last summer that I had to tell him to please stop? hee hee curious to hear what you get. I will give you feedback. Hugs, Pam

Hey Fellow Animal Communicators in training! Come on up and talk to Charlie. I asked him the other day when hugging him if anyone is talking to you? He said ‘some are trying but they give up too fast’. Ha, that message goes to me as well. :0 Let’s stay with it folks, my buddy has lots to share with us. Hugs, Pam

Charlie shows me he is warm, soft – note neither mean weak- and has a sense of humor. His attitude is strong yet subtle and will nudge until/unless a push is required.
My cat Rumery turned his back on me during our Gold QA call when Charlie expressed his Top Dog position. Both later that night and the following Rumery demonstrated his hunting (indoor cat) prowess and showed off mouse play in front of me followed in the mornings by a presentation of mouse head. I remembered Val’s teachings of the much larger picture of the hunt. All told Rumery confidence in his own Top Dog status is better. Charlie agrees that there is room for both of them as they are Top of different areas. Grateful for their understandings.
Charlie tells me he like sun on his belly as he can zone out yet is always aware and watchful. He has much wisdom to share, simply ask. Hi response to me was that I too should spend some time with dappled sun on my belly to recharge my inner batteries.

Hi Barb, Oh yes, the info you received is correct. Firstly, Charlie is more than warm! Man, that boy’s body puts off a lot of heat. When he lays by my leg at night within minutes my body is hot through and through. I have to push him off, much to his chagrin. tee hee hee
He must have given Remery some hunting pointers. If you want, ask Charlie what wildabeast he hunted numerous times last year? I had to have a talk with him about it. (Want to play with this? I love to hear if he tells you.) It’s interesting to me how tough he is but in the very same breath he is such a tender ‘lover boy’. He is certainly not Top Cat here with my 2 girls Izzy and Novia, they keep him humble for sure. You pegged him perfectly Barb. Talk soon, I hope. Pam

Barb- Too can you talk to Charlie about his pee spraying in my house? I have had numerous talks with him about it, yet he still does it. Piccasso, my next door neighbors cat who comes around often (he used to spray on my front door all the time, though not so much now) may be the reason, as well as the 2 feral cats I feed who hang around the back yard (one male and one female). In fact, he has gotten into some tiffs with Mr. O’Leary several times and I told Charlie they are here and welcome to be a part of our home. Anyway, if you can get through to him a bit on these two above mentioned points and help me I would be so appreciative.
I am keeping another possible issue quiet now, just to see if when you talk to him it comes up. Hugs, Pam

A Racoon? Possum? Both impressions came to me. But may be my own experience at my house! Charlie is so pretty! Love his colors! Charlie is telling me you clean too much. He needs to fix it with his smell. Just what I got so not sure if that is correct! Ha ha! Will try more later! Love this club! Val is so wonderful! :o)
Thanks for having Charlie with us!

      Hi Pam,

tried my luck again with Charlie. He seems rather talkative. As soon as I get in touch he starts telling me things. Even when he is napping, he is fully aware of his surroundings. He loves cuddling. And he likes to nap in warm places (like on wood or on soil where the sun is shining). I think I got he is between 5 and 6 years old (not sure about that).
Charlie has a very strong personality, but is not dominant. He is a social cat who can easily get along with others. He said “we have a good arrangement here, the girls run the house and I am in charge outdoors”. I asked him about his hunting and got that he hunts everything he finds around. It gives him great pleasure to chase and to catch – especially rather big prey. when I asked what animals he is hunting I got mice, rats, birds, squirrels, rabbits and the occasional snake and salamander (or something similar). I had fish coming to my mind, but was not sure, if this is prey or food he likes. Do you have a pond or lake around where he goes fishing?
When I asked him if he has a message for you and / or for me he told me to enjoy what I am doing at each present moment and not to think so much of what I have to do later. And then he said this goes for my mum as well, actually this is a message to all humans.
Thanks for hosting Charlie. He is a wonderful being, so full of love and wisdom.

Oh, hey Joy. About the spraying. You could be right about the cleaning thing. He just wants to add his smells to the mix. Ha Ha, I will try and communicate more gently about this spraying issue.

Joy- Thanks for the comment. I do have raccoons though I hope Charlie has not had any run-ins with them. (Picasso, the next door neighbor’s cat got attacked by a family of coons one night about 1yr or so ago, they messed him up really bad. Had to get lots of help from the Vet. Poor guy.) Anyway, the animals he hunted last summer were squirrels. He left one half eaten (head and upper body gone) on my front lawn. Then not 2 days later another half eaten one. I told him I appreciated his extremely keen hunting abilities; however, I DO NOT want half eaten squirrels to pick in my yard. Then a couple of weeks later I see him with another one and is munching on it. I was livid! Charlie, noo nooo this has to stop. I pleaded and begged him to stop. He looked at me as if he understood me telling him “I feed you well, you do not have to go hunt and kill squirrels for food. I like my squirrel friends alive and well. And, they are welcome in my yard”. I am sure that this Spring and Summer he will leave our squirrels alone and unharmed. I hope!

Klaudia, Well Done! You heard Charlie correctly. He does like to cuddle, BUT just for very short stints. I grab him up and hug on him and he purrs his deep, somewhat quiet echo-like purr for a minute, then he’s ready to be released. Oh yes, he loves laying in the sun rays and thoroughly enjoys rolling around on my packed dirt and gravel driveway getting himself all dusty. Such an outdoorsman he is (I guess that stands to reason, because he was a feral hanging around my yard for 4years or more before he finally accepted me). I am not completely sure how old he is I am guessing around 6. So I think you are right. There is a canal just off the alley near my home, but no fish, at least I think no fish. tee hee hee I did see a large muskrat looking animal once when I goaded him to come out from under my porch.
Lastly, I would like to say the comment Charlie made was a great lesson for me, and all of us. Keep focus on what I am doing right now in this moment. I will get to the next ‘thing’ when I complete this task. Thanks Klaudia, thanks Charlie Boy.

Ha Haaa, I like his response. As we get closer to the end of the month I will elaborate on the ear thing. 🙂 It still makes me kinda sad but hearing his response that he’s cool with it makes me feel a bit better. Yup I guess I have always known he was less upset about it than I was. From this point forward I will stop the sadness and moaning over it. Thanks Barb!

This just came through. I will write it as I received it.
E: Hi Charlie. Feel like talking to me? C: Sure, what about? E: Would you tell me something that you haven’t shared with the others yet? C: There’s a lot to tell. I lead a very full life. E: How about what happened to your ear? C: It was a youngish raccoon. I surprised him and he grabbed my head and bit my ear. It really hurt and I ran away as fast as I could! E: What was the raccoon doing? C: He was eating something – something I didn’t even want. Yuck! E: Have you ever seen that coon again? C: Yeah, but I stay far away from him. E: Anything else about that incident? C: Nope, you can tell the others now, OK? E: OK, are we finished? C: Yes for now, bye bye.

Elisabeth, How cute that was! Charlie was pulling your leg, funny little shithead. I don’t doubt he has had run-in’s with coons before, however, the ear issue did not come from a raccoon. I will wait a few more days to see if Charlie will tell the truth about his ear. Keep at it. Hugs, Pam

Thanks for your explanation about the squirrels. That would be horrible to see! I saw a cat’s head and arm on a lawn nearby that was shocking about 6 months ago. Coyotes I’m sure. My cat Tiger survived a coyote attack but lost an eye. He lived for 6 more years.

Charlie tells me to keep trying to communicate I am doing great! So cute! He really is a cool cat! :o)

After much consideration of this story of a squirrel attacking a cat, (was there an eyewitness to this?) and some research into the likelihood of such a thing happening, I personally have come to the conclusion that this story as allegedly told by Charlie may have very little basis in actual fact. If I am wrong, then fine, but short of having seen it happen, I choose not to believe this. Thank you for reading.

      Hi
Just tried to tune into Charlie and check about his ear. Got the impression he got stuck somewhere and ripped off the tip of his ear resulting in a bad infection. Then he said: but this is past. The ear is just fine now. No reason to discuss it any further.

Looking closely at the picture, I had to think of the practice here in Cyprus. The vets cut off the tip of one ear when they spay/neuter feral and stray animals to avoid having them brought in again later.
Hope at some stage we will learn what really happened to his ear.

Well, it looks as if everyone is done talking with Charlie. I want to tell you all that Klaudia was on about thinking his ear was due to the vet snipping off the tip. She was right. Charlie was a feral cat who found me and stayed because I offered food and love. It took years (I am thinking 4 or 5 years) before he would let me touch him. I got him in the cage I borrow from The Spot Program through the Humane Society and took him in for neutering. When I went to pick him up from the Humane Society I was shocked to see half of his ear chopped off and his entire nose was bloodied up. “What happened to this little guy”? I asked. The receptionist told me “You instructed us to snip his ear because he is feral and we do that so others know he has been fixed”. Well yes I understand this but Holy Cripes….half his ear is gone! “And, what of the bloody nose”? she informed me that some feral cats go into panic mode when trapped in cages and they run their face over and over on the cage. It broke my heart! I felt so bad for Charlie that day. I still find myself saying “Ahh dear Charlie I am so sorry you had to endure all that at the Vet. Please forgive me”! So, that’s what happened to my babe’s ear.

      Hi Pam
Well I tuned into Charlie, should have written some questions down but didn’t think of that. I started explaining who I was and he was like yeah yeah I know who you are. I told him I was scared and asked if he could help me learn to communicate with animals, then he became very nice and said yes. I asked if he could tell me something that I could tell you to verify that I was connected with him. He showed me a picture of him jumping up onto (a cat stand?) and I said You like to jump up onto things and he said yes. I asked what he liked to do and he showed me playing with a tiny red ball. I thought might be my own imagination, but thats what I saw. Then I asked him how he felt and I got different pictures of a kitten playing so finally I said you feel good, young and energetic like a kitten? and got affirmative. Then I became distracted by the birds on my bird feeder and so that was the end of it.
I get that he wears many hats, has different attributes to his personality. Can be a sweetheart, can be gruff, can be playful, etc.
Hope some of this rings true. 🙂
      Kathy

Hi Kathy, You are doing well! Let go of your fears because that is what inhibits you (and me) from getting correct feedback from the animals you(we) are trying to communicate with.
Ok, so… I have these little plastic coiled toys strewn about the house and Charlie especially likes playing with them and red is one of the colors and there is a ‘roundness’ to them. I do have a tiny red puff ball somewhere in the house which Charlie may have knocked into a hiding spot.
I have a couple different napping places near my large living room window that Charlie likes to go; they are not really high but he has to jump up to get to them. I do have a cat tower/condo but Izzy is the only one that ever goes up top. That is her domain and all the other cats know that only “Princess Izzy” is allowed there. It’s a law that Izzy decreed and all honor it. 
He is a cat that likes to play hard. When I play with him out in the yard (which is long overdue) with the mouse on a wire toy he jumps really high after it. He is very long bodied and has incredible strength in his hind legs. I am amazed at how high he can jump for being such a big guy.
Yes, he can be tender and affectionate in one moment then a bit gruff in the next. He lets me maul him with lovin and purrs his deep, growly purr but then he says ‘ok enough…now leave me alone’.
He likes being outside… patrolling the yard as well as looking after Izzy and Novia when they are outside. (I gave him the job of protecting the home, yard and the kitty girls and he does a very good job of it)
Keep practicing Kathy. Keep believing in your abilities. You are getting it! Hugs, Pam
