How long does it take to become a good animal communicator?
Learning how to talk with animals as a hobby and for something interesting to do in your spare time is one thing.
But to become a really good animal communicator (defined as confident, competent, accurate, and proficient in the Heart Wisdom Methods of animal communication), is a learning process.
That’s especially important if they want to become a professional communicator as a career choice.
Many beginning students wonder what it takes to become really good. After all, communicating with animals is a unique intuitive ability and skillset that will require a bit of effort and commitment to learning.

That’s the point of the Heart School with all our self study courses, training, live classes, the membership (Coaching Club), and expert coaching.

Beyond learning the basics of how animal communication works (taught in the Beginning Foundations Course), you have to activate your intuitive senses through properly designed exercises.
Among other important foundational animal communication techniques, steps, and training, the Beginning self study course also introduces you to the 4 main or primary “clairs” and shows you how to work with them.
What are they exactly? The basic 4 clairs include clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, and claircognizance.
In the discovery process, you discover your primary intuitive gift(s) to get you started.
But don’t stop there because becoming a good communicator requires developing and getting good at using your intuitive abilities!
You also have to get your other “clairs” in good working order so you can use them too, and there are many more in addition to the basic 4 which isn’t the focus on this post today.
That’s why our students have an extensive series of personally designed intuition development lessons available to them in their Club membership.
For example…
Rosemary shared this epiphany discovery about developing her intuitive abilities with just one of our exercises.
A little backstory first:
One of our many wonderful Intuition Development Exercises for Heart Wisdom Coaching Club members is called “What’s in the Box”.
The setup is to have someone else put an object in a box, wrap it like a gift, so that you don’t know what’s in there.
The intuition development exercise is to use your intuitive senses and abilities to discover what’s inside the box — without looking of course.
Then you open it and compare what you intuited with what’s actually inside.
Rosemary had been working at this, but feeling a bit frustrated because she was trying to “sense” what was inside the box from her mind, desperately hoping she could just feel it, somehow.
And not having much success.
Then, her Inner Guidance popped up with some great advice (taught in the Awaken Your Inner Guidance System course) and suggested, “TRY MOVING YOUR ENERGY INTO THE BOX”.
And so she quieted her mind like I teach in the Heart Wisdom Methods, shifted her focus, and did that.
Eureka! It worked!!! 😁
NOW she can sense from INSIDE the box!
She can feel the shapes and textures of what’s in there, the colors, shapes, size, materials, and so much more.
Feeling much more excited about this intuition development exercise now, she said:
“I asked my husband to put stuff in a box for the What’s in the Box exercise. I got three things right and other stuff wrong. The good bit? He enjoyed doing it as much as I did and it has become a way to include him on this journey. Delighted!”
So what does a box have to do with making you a better, aka “good” animal communicator?
When you can sense the animal properly, you can move your energy to become one with them…
You will know what they feel, hear their voice, and learn about their story and experiences.
You’ll know what questions to ask in the right way and timing for the best, most enjoyable – and reliable – conversations.
You can literally hear the song they sing and what they’re thinking (clairaudience), feel their energy, body sensations and emotions (clairsentience), and know what they know with almost instantaneous message downloads (claircognizance).
Following the animal’s lead, you can expand and shift your focus, using ALL your “clairs” that go way beyond just the basic most commonly known intuitive gifts.
For instance, you can track and feel pain spots, sense the health or weakness in their various body parts and systems, understand how functional or non-functional they are, and know where they are struggling healthwise.
Taking that one step further, you can also sense what happens in their body if they eat the wrong food or take a medication – helpful or not helpful.
You can sense and track the flow of energy inside and around their body, checking the health and balance of their chakras, energy meridians, and wei qi flows.
You can find blockages and inflammation, hot spots, lumpy bumps, and track where that is coming from.
You can even solve mystery lameness problems, another one of my specialties.
All of which makes for not just good but great communication and healing abilities, for both them and you too.
I personally use these skills when I do animal communication including medical intuitive scanning because often the animal can only answer my questions to a certain point but they don’t consciously know why they feel that way or where it came from or what the root of the problem is.
They can describe how they feel, how much pain they’re in, when it started, and what helps or doesn’t help. Useful information to know, for sure…
But here’s the thing to remember:
Just like when we humans often don’t know exactly what’s going on inside our bodies consciously, animals don’t either.
Traditional veterinarian or holistic kinds of testing can be useful, but often that just isn’t enough to find the root of the problem so they can get the help they really need.
But what if you could sense inside their body and know what’s going on?
What a difference that could make, eh?
That’s a game changer.
Here’s a real life case study illustrating how using this intuitive ability works:
I once worked with a race horse who’d suffered a hairline fracture in her hip. She was intermittently lame, sometimes seemed fine and other times, not fine.
Nothing the vet had done so far was helping. They could not figure out the problem, she was just getting worse.
When I communicated with her, she told me how she felt and what caused the injury.
Then with a quick “peek inside” I shifted into her body, tracked and found the fracture.
The vet hadn’t looked at her hip, they were only focused on her legs and hooves.
But when I redirected them based on what I’d discovered, and they knew the right place to look?
Ah HA!! They found the problem!
Now they were able to help her.
A few months rest to recover, and she was as good as new.
Had they not consulted me, and continued with her training, riding her, forcing her, pushing her or worse?
She would have been in more pain, she would have had to act out more aggressively trying to tell them “I AM IN PAIN!!!”, and the bone could have broken which would likely have ended her life.
Thank goodness they were guided to work with me.
When I teach my students to become good communicators in the Heart Wisdom Method, my goal is for you to know how to do this too.
And that’s why developing this wonderful intuitive sensing ability is important and will help you become a better communicator.
Combine this one thing with all the other Heart Wisdom extraordinary healing techniques which I also teach, you could even help them feel better and heal too.
To be clear, to do this really well requires practice, the right education, training, fine tuning and developing your intuitive abilities, healing your inner wounds, and acquiring more practical experience because these are more advanced skills.
These are very useful skills to have for all animal lovers and caretakers.
And these are critical abilities for healers AND really good, proficient communicators.
Because there is a world of difference between taking a course, or being a member of an animal communication practice group that isn’t based on the proper training, coaching and guidance to grow your abilities to a competent level…
And engaging in a live School, community of like minded students, and a membership teaching you exactly what you need to know to grow your skills to become a good communicator.

How long will it take you to become a proficient, competent, confident communicator in the Heart Wisdom Methods?
It’s not as much about the time you spend working on it, taking classes, or joining practice groups.
It’s about doing the right things in the right way for the best results.
You need the right education, training, support, and expert coaching.
You need to practice communicating with a wide variety of animals in the right way to get proper feedback to grow your skills.
Then you want to fine tune and develop ALL your intuitive abilities…
And you must do your inner healing so you don’t filter, misinterpret or block animal messages through your wounds.
You also want practical experiences and a wide variety of training, support and guidance because these are more advanced skills.
All animal lovers and caretakers need to know how to speak their language, and these are critical abilities for healers AND communicators to have in your Toolkit.
But only if you want to improve your communication abilities and be good at it.
If “hit or miss” is more your style, you’re okay with inaccuracy, don’t care about mastering or growing your intuitive abilities, and you’re okay with that?
