We are glad you are interested in practicing talking together with an animal!

To get started, greet the animal and ask if they have time to talk with you. Remember that animals also lead busy lives even though we may not see all that they do. If they aren’t available, check back later.

Introduce yourself and explain why you are reaching out to them: that you are a member of the Animal Talk Coaching & Mastery Club and learning to better communicate with animals and would appreciate their help. You can ask them any questions you want. Typically they do provide a response. Please share your impressions of their personality, energy, how they feel and any insights they may share with you. By sharing what you get, the animal’s person can provide you with feedback and others can jump in too.

Use the Forum SEARCH field (located at the top of the right column below the picture of the Featured Animal Teacher) to find more discussions involving this animal (or other animals with the same name).

Some conversations have been lively, and we’ve learned some amazing insights, and laughed at jokes. Remember that this is a safe place to practice. This is about practice and learning, it is not about getting it perfect. The animals have much to teach us, to share with us and we with them.

Hi Hedi. I am connecting with Oak. I am sensing Oak is very loyal and in tune with you and always wants to help you feel better if you’re feeling out of sorts. She said she has done a lot of Healing work with you and you have come far.
Oak says she can be protective and sometimes have a big bark for protection, but sometimes gets a little skiddish and wants protecting herself.
She says she is a lounge buddy!
She is telling me she is about to be busy eating and walking then watching TV and snuggling and is wishing me a great evening. It’s 3:52 PDT.
I thanked Oak and rubbed her head and ears and kissed her.
      Love to Oak!
      Martha

Hi Martha! It is so cool that you had this conversation with Oak on my birthday last year!! WHOA! 😀 I am sorry for taking so long to reply. Oak is a handsome boy, and yes he is extremely loyal. We used to be in tune and I am not so sure we are anymore. Something to work on. He is very protective with a very big bark, and also gets very skiddish as you said. Right on point! Definitely a lounge buddy, lol. Very well done Martha!! Thank you for chatting with him. Much love!

Hi Hedi! Thanks for offering Oak as an ATH….he is such a handsome boy with an appealing expression!

I found him very affectionate, eager to please, and ready to help when I asked for it to improve my communication. He is curious yet watchful, and contemplative. He is also eager to learn.

He has high energy, like a puppy, though I don’t think that he is one! He is happy and healthy, which I think his orange and yellow aura suggests. I must add that I don’t actually see the colors, just get the impression.

He has soft, warm fur, and likes being stroked around the ears. He has a loud bark. I see him racing up and down amidst thick grass. When I asked about his favorite food, it looked like meatballs, something brown. He seems to enjoy strong flavors.

He is not a very old soul but already has a lot of wisdom. He asks you to spend more time with him, and has been with you earlier. He says I will be able to communicate well some day!

Hopefully something will resonate with you! Thanks again Hedi and Oak, and much love and blessings to both of you.

        Hi Nita,
Thank you for chatting with Oak. Yes, he is all of that — affectionate, eager to please, ready to help, curious, watchful, contemplative and eager to learn. You got it all right!

OMG yes, he just had his 12th birthday but still acts, plays and runs around like he’s a puppy!! Correct again, he has an extremely loud bark, lol. Very soft fur and loves his ear scratches. Nicely done Nita!! He eats small brown kibble so maybe he sees those as mini meatballs and he definitely enjoys strong flavours — his favourite are salmon and venison.

He is extremely wise and I have noticed him wanting to spend more time together. Thank you for that reminder!! He’s right, you are very well on your way to communicating very well. You practically got everything right in this communication with him. Great job Nita!!! Keep up the great work.

        Lot’s of Love,
        Hedi and Oak (and Ivy)
