Gina has volunteered to host her bird Birdie as our next Featured Animal Teacher (FAT). I am sure you will enjoy getting to know this wonderful animal teacher.

Gold members will have an opportunity to connect with Birdie along with Val on the next Q&A call Saturday, June 10. I encourage all of you to connect with Birdie now and through the month.

Tune into Birdie first and see what you sense. It’s not just about getting words although that’s a lot of fun when it happens. Remember that telepathic comes from tele meaning over a distance like telephone and television, and pathic that comes from pathos. So literally telepathic is emotion over a distance.
How does Birdie feel to you? Happy? Sad? Excited? etc.

Ask Birdie ice breaker questions as you might with any new teacher. It’s not about “getting the right answer” but about connecting with a wonderful animal.

      Have fun!

Many thanks to Gina for offering to host Birdie as our featured animal teacher for this month. We look forward to Gina and Birdie sharing feedback, information and stories along our journey.

      Hi Gina

      Thanks for hosting Birdie.

I think I pick up a male energy. I see a lot of movement, climbing up and down, hanging on a perch head down, constantly turning his head. Birdie is very curious. He can be quite noisy with a wide variety of different sounds, trying to imitate everything he hears.
He likes to be close to his family (human and animals). His energy feels happy and well balanced.

Klaudia : We have referred to her as a she since we got the bird but it wasn’t until recently that Val validated that she believes him to be a boy. I refuse to have his toe nail clipped or wing feather plucked for blood to know what sex it is. He is quite loud every evening around 5 or 6 which in the wild would be when the flock is called in for the night. She actually never hangs upside down physically but she does do this thing where she twist her around wildly while saying, “crazy!”crazy crazy!”

OK – I just finished talking with Birdie. Here goes: Birdie says she is 4 1/2 years old, has been with Gina for about 2 years. She came from a pet store where she was in love with a yellow/green macaw named Harry. He was adopted first and she still misses him and grieves for him. Although she is basically very happy in her current situation. She likes to sleep in her cage where she “feels safe”. She says there is a big brown and white male dog in the house who is friendly and “we talk a lot”. The dog is happy. The humans call him “Brownie” but she calls him “Harry”.

About her diet – she says she would like more fruit: like mango and kiwi. Her favorite activity is splashing in the water. She showed me a big blue flat dish outside in the sun. She really, really loves her mommy, Gina and says she takes very good care of Birdie. Her other favorite person is “Nana”. “She sings to me. I don’t see her too much maybe every few weeks. She has dark hair and I sing with her.” Her favorite toy – she showed me a ring of bright-colored plastic discs on a chain that makes a clacking noise. She would like another toy: “a spinning around toy on my stick”. I asked what could mommy do to make your life happier? “Slow down, she does too much. And play more music, the Beatles.”

Birdie seems to like being “only bird”. She appears physically healthy. I then asked what her purpose in life is: “be happy, show love, enjoy food, baths, flying around and talking to Harry the dog.” What lessons do you have to teach others? – she said “same as above.” Then I could tell she was finished talking with me. I thanked her and disconnected. It was really lovely. Thank you Gina for this opportunity.

Oh wow that’s lots of stuff! some off some very right so let me see if i can address everything here
OK – I just finished talking with Birdie. Here goes: Birdie says she is 4 1/2 years old, has been with Gina for about 2 years. No….i can give you the answer or do you want to try again?

She came from a pet store where she was in love with a yellow/green macaw named Harry. He was adopted first and she still misses him and grieves for him. Although she is basically very happy in her current situation. Did not come a pet store but don’t know who she was in company with before i got her.

She likes to sleep in her cage where she “feels safe”. She says there is a big brown and white male dog in the house who is friendly and “we talk a lot”. The dog is happy. The humans call him “Brownie” but she calls him “Harry”. No cage. He has actually never been in a cage. Brown and white dog yes his name is Snoopy and he’s very friendly.

About her diet – she says she would like more fruit: like mango and kiwi. Her favorite activity is splashing in the water. She showed me a big blue flat dish outside in the sun. He is very weird with food. I used to give him a huge assortment of fruits and veggies and now he only likes apples, grapes if he’s in the mood and bing cherries. if I offer raw veggies while he’s on his perch he’ s not interested BUT if he’s in the kitchen with me and i hand him a raw veggie he would shred it into tiny pieces while he stands on the sink faucet. He does prefer crunchy things like cereal, chips, cookies and loves rice and pasta. Typical carb addicted American bird ( :
She really, really loves her mommy, Gina and says she takes very good care of Birdie. Her other favorite person is “Nana”. “She sings to me. I don’t see her too much maybe every few weeks. She has dark hair and I sing with her.” Now this is interesting…..I own a pet sitting service and my clients pets know me as Nana but i don’t use the name at home. My hair is dark and i spent a lot of time teaching him the song, Sing a Song by Karen Carpenter. plus the theme song to poltergeist and Nah Nah Nah Nah Hey Hey Goodbye song. I don’t see her enough because my biz keeps me away from home too much which I m currently working on as i hire more people. Which ties into your findings below about me slowing down.

Her favorite toy – she showed me a ring of bright-colored plastic discs on a chain that makes a clacking noise. She would like another toy: “a spinning around toy on my stick”. I was thinking to get her another toy but i hesitate because she doesn’ t play with them very much.

I asked what could mommy do to make your life happier? “Slow down, she does too much. And play more music, the Beatles.” He has something very similar on his outdoors cage (only time he’s in a cage for obvious reasons) I send you a pic on facebook of the toy.

Birdie seems to like being “only bird”. Probably right. I had a macaw and they didn’t get along. She lives with my ex now and we take turns keeping the birds. I noticed when my ex and i split the two birds Birdie was quite visually expressive in her joy the the macaw was gone. LOL!
She appears physically healthy. I then asked what her purpose in life is: “be happy, show love, enjoy food, baths, he loves getting wet with the hose. but she’s clipped so no flying.

flying around and talking to Harry the dog.” What lessons do you have to teach others? – she said “same as above.” Then I could tell she was finished talking with me. I thanked her and disconnected. It was really lovely. Thank you Gina for this opportunity. Thank you! It’s really cool from this end to see how tons on info is literally thrown into a box ( our brains) and how each of us sorts it out to come up with our finding.

I had mixed up messages about whether Birdie was a male or female. I chose female.
Birdie is very curious, has her eye out on all the comings and goings on at home. She likes when Gina talks about the experiences of her day when returning home from work. Birdie is content and happy living with Gina, though admits she gets bored at times which makes her feel anxious. I then asked about toys. I had a visual of a hard object (wooden or possibly stone and rectangle shape) attached to a string which Birdie pulls up and then kind of flings it to make it swing a bit.
I saw a flash of Birdie perching on Gina’s left hand while Gina is caressing her neck and breast with her index finger and Birdies eyes gently close and open, calm as a purring kitty. She loves this ‘connection’ time with Gina. I saw Gina get real close and Birdie kissed her. Birdie likes being cooed at and the tenderness she receives makes her feel good; it makes her feel loved, and it makes her feel very, very special!
I see a small mirror in her cage that she likes looking into and peeking (pecking)  at . I told her I think she is lovely with her beautiful golden feathered head. I saw her admiring herself in the mirror. (The message is not to be construed as conceited but more in a way to teach us the importance of having a strong sense of Self-Love & Self-Appreciation.)
Birdie likes riding on Gina’s shoulder; this way she can get a ‘bird-eye’ view. (That’s Birdies joke.) I heard her laugh – though it was more of a knowing on my part rather than me actually hearing it. She is a pretty smart little character. She likes making Gina giggle at her antics.
I sense Birdie can get quite loud with her vocalization, especially when she wants attention or has something important to share.
How does she like living with the other animals? I asked. “I don’t mess with them, they don’t mess with me”. She is pleased that she is ‘high-up’. I get that she lands on them sometimes….the dog, maybe?
I think here cage is near the dining room, but she has a good view of the living room area.
So…. That’s what I got today; am looking forward to hearing Gina’s feedback. What a little Sweetie Birdie is!

      Pamela:
had mixed up messages about whether Birdie was a male or female. I chose female. Val says Male but also mentioned that male/female energy can be fluid.

Birdie is very curious, has her eye out on all the comings and goings on at home. She likes when Gina talks about the experiences of her day when returning home from work. Birdie is content and happy living with Gina, though admits she gets bored at times which makes her feel anxious.
She is located dead center of the home! Her job is to alert us when someone is here. I imagine she does get bored as I ve been away a lot and I hate it. I try and offer her things to amuse her and i swear it seems like she’s content to stand in one spot and observe. I have outdoor enclosure for her but half the time she’s doesn’t care to go outside.

I then asked about toys. I had a visual of a hard object (wooden or possibly stone and rectangle shape) attached to a string which Birdie pulls up and then kind of flings it to make it swing a bit. Yes i have tree branches cut up and drill hole thru the middle and string it up so it dangles. She plays with it when i first put it up but then she gets bored with it plus she keeps swinging her ass in the wrong direction and she ends pooping all over it.

ALL TRUE!!

      There’s no cage or mirror.

      ALL TRUE!
I sense Birdie can get quite loud with her vocalization, especially when she wants attention or has something important to share. TRUE! God help you if you run the vaccuum she has to 1 up the vaccuum in noise level.
How does she like living with the other animals? I asked. “I don’t mess with them, they don’t mess with me”. She is pleased that she is ‘high-up’. Totally accurate. I build her these elaborate PVC structures to climb and explore. What does she do? Sit at the highest point and shit on her toy

I get that she lands on them sometimes….the dog, maybe? NO!!! Afraid of the dog and cat

I think here cage is near the dining room, but she has a good view of the living room area. TRUE!
So…. That’s what I got today; am looking forward to hearing Gina’s feedback. What a little Sweetie Birdie is!

Hi Gina, Thanks for the feedback. I guess I did pretty good at my first attempt. Maybe the mirror thing was Birdie telling me it’s ok to love myself and appreciate myself. I have been trying to look deep into myself in the mirror without judgement.
I plan to get in contact with Birdie again when I get home from work later. talk soon. Pam

That’s the message I just got from wise Birdie.

As I was reading thru peoples impressions of Birdie, I got the impression that Birdie is feeling lonely and discouraged. His main focus is Gina, and he does what he can to get/keep her attention when she is there–competes with the other animals for attention.

It seems if he could feel fully heard he would say something like this to Gina:
All the toys and special ‘things’ you have for me to ‘play’ with just dont do it for me. I have much more to offer even tho I am not sure what that is. I would like something more in our connection, even tho I dont know what that would look like. I am not just another one of your ‘pets’, I have something special to offer, and I need you to take time to really connect with me. You are so busy and gone so much, I dont seem to really have your attention much at all.

Unfortunately that is probably too accurate. I’m not sure what i can do to keep him engaged. I try to pick him up to bring him in the shower or in the kitchen and he leans back like no i want to stay here. I can’t stand at his perch all day so it make sense to try and bring him along. I’ve given up here lately trying to include him as he keeps rearing back not wanting to be picked up. However if someone comes over he’s all over them and lets them pick him up. If I try to get him down off their shoulder he will bite the crap out of me so i have to use a stick. He does however not mind sitting on the back of my chair while i do computer work. Any ideas on what he wants me to do?

Birdie’s comfortable in his home with you Gina. He loves you! I picked up that a lesson he is teaching you is that of staying in an ‘observer’ state. He does this with great ease; sits on his perch observing. He has his eyes appealed to all that is going on in your home and what he sees when looking out the window. He is a most patient bird! He understands your need to be away from the home and is most appreciative of the Love you give him when you can. He likes when new peeps come to the house because he is able to have some new/different interactions and see something different.
Perhaps, if you are not already doing this, which I think you might….is leaving the radio on during the day with nice music playing. I believe he goes into a ‘dreamy’ place when he is alone during the day, the music could help. Also, try changing things up, like moving his dish or let him try some new foods on occasion that he’s never tried before (of course making sure they are safe for birdies). Too, I just had a thought, when you change his water daily, gently hold your hands lightly over the dish and energize the water with powerful intentions; ‘I offer this wonderful life giving water a grand thank you for hydrating my Birdie. I fill this water with the Love of my Heart so when Birdie drinks he is filled with my Love.’ You can be really creative as to what you charge the water with. And, now that you are an aware animal communicator, you can often during your day, take a couple of minutes to focus in on him and send him your hello’s and that you are thinking of him. Show him through your visualizations what you are doing, include him in your day with other animals. “look at that silly cat playing with the catnip tube isn’t he a hoot Birdie?”
Another lesson he teaches is simply to BE who you truly are, and get a bit Crazy every now and again. Birdie can teach you to ‘lighten up from heavy thoughts and just ‘hang out’ in an easy breezy kind of way’! Good lesson for all of us Birdie….Thank you for being YOU!

Gina, I have some thoughts coming to me that could be from Birdie. I wonder if this might also be a question to ask Val in the July 9 call. Some thots:
He does not like his name, I’m getting ‘Cool Dude’ may be a preference….
He wants time with you when you can be present, connect and receive from him.
could be taking time with him when you are at the computer
When you go up to him and he backs away….getting he doesnt just want to go and be where
you are, and have you not paying attention to him at all. Wonder if you can go up to him
and let him know what you will be doing and make connecting time with him be part of it.
Getting he has wisdom to share and he loves and needs to be schmoozed up, you know, Hey there handsome Cool Dude how did I get to be so lucky to have such an amazing dude like you in my life? You want to come and whisper sweet nothings in my ear while I’m on the computer? and when I am done, I’ll turn that machine off and we’ll have some time just you and me…
And maybe when you take time with him, take a minute to be present to him and talk to him about things in your life, like you would a really good friend, and ask him for his thoughts about different things and then take time to hear his feedback—may just be energy flows. Or get a sense about what he would like to talk about.
Hope some of this is helpful, its just what’s coming out when I type!!!!
      Hugs and blessings

Wow your almost kinda creepy with your communication. Being in an observer state has been a main focus for me for a while now after 40 plus years as s
participate I m shifting into observer state. It’s interesting that I just realized that my body has shifted to observer but my mind has not caught up yet.
So even though I interact less with the world physically my mind is stI’ll
iengaged which I m wanting to shift as well but it’s a work in progress.
I do move his perch about every few months from a front view to a back view
. I m currently shopping for a travel carrier so he can tag along on my pets
sits when it’s not so hot out. I will take the rest of your guidance as we
ll. Thanks so much!!!!! Your very good !!!

you said he wants t be schmoozed…… well it appears that i accurate. I started doing that and after a minute of rubbing his neck he s more willing to come with me. Not always but then that should be his preference.

This is my first time trying to connect with Birdie except in class where all I got was his essence , I wrote down Light, bright, energetic. I got the color Magenta surrounding him and that he is very happy.
Today I tuned in and oh my, the words started coming so fast, before I even introduced myself.
I finally grabbed a piece of paper to begin writing down what he was saying but in doing so sort of lost the flow and wasn’t able to really pick it back up again.

Here is what I remembered and wrote down. That he is 2 yrs old. I felt that he was pulling my leg about that, so I said my, you are so wise for only being two years old. He then said ‘It’s not my first time around you know.” I asked what animals he has been or if it has always been a bird, he replied that being a bird is his favorite.
I asked what he had planned for today and he said he doesn’t make plans, just lets life happen. At that point I grabbed pen and paper and began writing this down, then sort of lost the flow. After that it was just sort of bird chatter. So I told him it had been fun talking with him and said my goodbyes.

I have not read any of the other posts, so I really don’t know anything about him. But this is what he was saying to me.

Hi Gina! I asked Birdie if there was anything he wants to tell you and I immediately got “more water and a bath please”. He is so cute! Love his yellow head! I did not read previous posts so I would not get mixed up hopefully. Just love the singing in the Facebook post. What other songs does he/she like to sing? Is it a he or she?

This is VERY interesting because at first i thought, “more water?” he has a big bowl of it right at his wing tips. I got rather busy with holiday work and was going to respond sooner and now glad it was delayed…….cuz……i put him in the shower with me on his perch shortly after your post. We have this thing we do where i put water in my mouth and spit it out like a fountain and he drinks while i m spraying it. And it was that AH HA moment maybe this is what was meant by more water!! He does love to get wet outside.

Gina, Firstly, I want to Thank you for the feedback and the encouragement. I really feel that my working/practicing animal talking is getting more and more comfortable for me. I am realizing the more I get out of my own way the sharper & clearer the information comes through. I am learning & growing & expanding so much I can hardly believe it. This work is truly altering me in so many ways! It is wonderful and heartwarming and heart opening work for sure!
Ok, so about your thought on taking Birdie to work with you….. Birdie at first said going on an outing with you would be a bit scary… the trepidation about his safety and sense of security… but then at second thought he got excited about the idea knowing you would never put him in harms way. It stirred up some ‘wanderlust’ residing deep within is darling being-ness. He said, we can give it shot and see how it goes (then I saw him with his head bobbing all over like he was dancing to some really cool ass music). I could see, really see, what all her busyness is about. Ha Ha what a little joker he is!
Ok I am with Birdie, give it a try and see how it goes. You would also have to be alert to how the animals that you care for respond to the visitor coming to work with you. I would recommend that a couple of days and into the day before you decide to carry Birdie along with you that you talk to All parties involved and share with them that ‘we are going to have a show and tell with my birdy friend Birdie, and I would appreciate you all be kind and accepting of the visitor of the day’! It could be quite a hoot for you and everyone! Life, after all is about experiencing new & exciting adventures, is it not? Love you Gina! Love you Birdie! Hugs, Pam

Oh yeah, turn the radio on for Birdie……..after seeing that wonderful head & body bobbing from above post, I betchya he would dig Classic Rock. But when you’re away Classical or maybe smooth jazz might be nice to keep him in that Dreamy, escape from any boredom, state of being.

Thanks for feedback Gina! Birdie really enjoys playing with water! I have 5 “Squawkers McCaw” parrots in my house and classroom that look like birdie~ They were my inspiration for my house too! It is painted yellow with blue trim. They are Fur Real Friends toys that are not sold anymore. I got mine on ebay from several different states. I freak people out with them all the time. It is very entertaining because they look so real. Just love Birdie!
